A seasoned managed care executive with wide-ranging experience in today's outcome and quality driving managed care "eco systems," Lee has extensive industry knowledge and a mastery of managed care plan contracting, operations, labs, provider network management, claim adjudication, physician practices, and business intelligence. The valuable range of experience allows Lee to coalesce knowledge into winning financial strategies and client partnerships.
Terence Sleap is a highly accomplished and results-driven Chief Financial Officer with extensive experience in the healthcare industry. With a career spanning over three decades, Terence has demonstrated exceptional financial leadership and a deep understanding of financial strategy and operations. His contributions to various organizations have been instrumental in driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence. He has consistently played a vital role in the success and growth of iCare.
Terence holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honors (BCom Hons) in Accounting from Rand Afrikaans University, where he cultivated his passion for finance and financial management. He also earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting from the prestigious University of South Africa (UNISA).
Dr. Lawson has practiced optometry for more than 26 years. He is responsible for clinical oversight of the iCare utilization management program and chairs the professional advisory committee and clinical oversight governance committee. A graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry, he has served on the Florida Department of Health transition teams for governors Scott and DeSantis and in several leadership positions for the Florida Optometric Association. Dr. Lawson was named the 2020 Optometrist of the Year by the American Optometric Association and has been honored with the Senate Presidential Leadership award from the Florida Senate.
Dr. Oppenheim has over 40 years of experience in the managed care industry, including 25 years of experience in the areas of compliance and quality. She earned her Doctorate in Health Sciences from Nova Southeastern University in 2018 and has a master’s in health services administration.
With over 17 years of experience in the healthcare industry on the payer side and on the managed care side, Larry has been leading the iCare team for over six years. He is responsible for the continued growth and expansion of the organization.
Medical Directors
Dr. Balius is the clinic director at Aran Eye Associates. He graduated from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, with his doctor’s degree in optometry and completed his residency in hospital-based optometry at the Baltimore VA Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He has been practicing at Aran Eye Associates since 1993 and previously practiced at Bascom Eye Institute as a staff optometrist. Dr. Balius also serves as an adjunct professor for several schools of optometry. He was the president of the Dade County Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and SECO International. He has also served as a Florida Board Examiner. Dr. Balius is the current Residency Director at Aran Eye Associates and is a licensed optometrist in Florida, Georgia, and Texas.
A graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine, Dr. Stanley Braverman completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Duke University Eye Center before joining his brother in private practice at the Braverman Eye Center in Hallandale Beach, Florida, in 1981. He practiced together with his brother until 1998 before assuming sole ownership of the Braverman Eye Center. In addition to treating Ft. Lauderdale LASIK and cataract surgery patients,
Dr. Braverman, a board-certified ophthalmologist, is an active medical researcher, the inventor of several eye surgical instruments, and the author of a chapter in an authoritative book on small incision cataract surgery as well as many articles for medical journals. Dr. Braverman is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Miami School of Medicine Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Dr. Robert Coppola is a board-certified optometrist with more than 35 years of experience in the field. He founded South Florida Vision Centers in 1985. He specializes in geriatric vision, vision rehabilitation, and fitting patients for specialty contact lenses, bifocals, toric, and ketatokonic lenses. Dr. Coppola received his Bachelor of Science in biology from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, in 1979. He received his Doctor of Optometry in 1984 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
